InvestSmart® Fest 2024

InvestSmart® is the Securities Commission Malaysia’s investor education initiative to empower investors to become more informed, self-reliant, and capable of making investment decisions. Since its inception in 2014, InvestSmart® has actively engaged the public nationwide through various initiatives, educating them on a broad range of investment-related topics. These initiatives include the annual flagship event InvestSmart® Fest, Bersama InvestSmart® @ Borneo, SC-in-the-Community, educational talks, the InvestSmart® website, and active presence on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X and Tik Tok.

This year’s InvestSmart® Fest 2024 (“ISF 2024”), themed Bijak Labur Hidup Makmur, will be held from 11 – 13 October 2024 at Hall 2 & Hall 3, Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Mid Valley Mall in conjunction with the World Investor Week 2024 and Financial Literacy Month 2024. The 3-day event aims to empower the Malaysian public to be a smart investor, particularly in a time when investments scams are rampant.

ISF 2024 will unite capital market institutions, associations, industry players, and relevant agencies all under one roof. Over the course of three days, the event will highlight products and services offered by capital market intermediaries, including stocks, bonds, unit trusts, private retirement schemes (PRS), exchange-traded funds (ETF), equity crowdfunding (ECF), peer-to-peer financing (P2P), digital investment management (DIM), and digital asset exchanges (DAX).

The event will showcase talks, panel discussions, and fireside chats with leading industry experts who will share their insights on the Malaysian capital market and the investment opportunities it offers.

#FinPlan4u®

We will once again make available FREE one-hour financial planning consultation sessions with licensed financial planners under the #FinPlan4u® initiative. There will be 600 one-to-one sessions throughout the 3-day event. This initiative is also in collaboration with FPAM (“Financial Planning Association of Malaysia”) and MFPC (“Malaysian Financial Planning Council”).

The one-to-one sessions will be held at Hall 2 & Hall 3, Mid Valley Exhibition Centre are available on first come first served basis. No pre-registration required. 

This year we are happy to bring to you new and exciting additions to all visitors such as:

• An anti-scam pavilion featuring the SC, the Association of Banks Malaysia (“ABM”) and National Scam Response Centre (“NSRC”). It will serve as a one-stop centre for visitors to learn more on the current scams and how to protect yourself.
• A comic strip wall featuring InvestSmart® mascots with hilarious content and important messaging. You will stand to win exciting prizes when you answer simple questions on the comic strips.
• A new anti-scam video by our very own homegrown comedian, Douglas Lim, which will be launched at 11^th October 2024 at 3pm.
• A Kid Zone to keep your children occupied in a safe space while you explore our Fest.

At this event, attendees will have the chance to win exciting shopping vouchers by taking part in our investment game and Mentimeter online quizzes on stage. We encourage everyone to attend our talks, as they will provide valuable insights to help answer the questions during these games and quizzes, which will take place over the course of the 3-day event.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to win fantastic prizes by joining our lucky draws, which will be held twice daily throughout the 3-day event. To qualify for the lucky draw, you must complete the passport activity task by visiting exhibitors’ booths, learning about #FinPlan4u, and completing our surveys.
